Jason Deans

Jason Deans is a seasoned political and government relations professional.  His unique experience and campaign-like approach have produced a number of successful campaigns for our clients.  Jason’s must-win attitude combined with his strategic and tactical expertise offer our clients a competitive advantage and have allowed Deans to be ranked among the most influential lobbyists in North Carolina.

b38a4896-editJason is well known for his ability to produce victories in the most unlikely scenarios.  This was most clearly demonstrated when he served as Campaign Manager for Congressman Patrick McHenry’s (R-NC) primary and general election victories in 2004. The primary pitted McHenry, a lesser-known, first-term State Representative against three well-funded and better-known opponents. Deans employed an aggressive grassroots and new media campaign that resulted in over 60,000 targeted homes being visited by the campaign in a matter of a few months. McHenry won the primary in a runoff election by 85 votes in what was considered one of the most improbable wins in the nation that year.

Deans went on to serve as Congressman McHenry’s Chief of Staff, overseeing the operations of his Washington, DC Office and three offices in North Carolina. Jason worked with the Congressman to identify and advance critical legislative priorities, especially in the areas of banking and financial services, as Congressman McHenry is the sole North Carolina Republican on the House Financial Services Committee.

In addition to his service with Congressman McHenry, Deans has been involved in grassroots politics and government affairs for over fifteen years, working on numerous state council, legislative, and government relations campaigns.  Deans has served on his county and district Republican Executive Committees as well as the State Republican Executive and Central Committees. Deans was elected to two terms as State Chairman of the North Carolina Federation of College Republicans and in 1996 he was North Carolina’s youngest delegate to the Republican National Convention.

Jason is a native of Nash County, NC and resides in downtown Raleigh. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Campbell University where he graduated at the top of his class with a 4.0 grade point average. Deans currently serves on the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Board and the Campbell University Alumni Board of Directors.
